Safety & Usage Policy
Last updated: March 7, 2026
Effective Date: March 7, 2026
OpenArt Studio maintains strict automated filters for NSFW content, deepfake detection, and illegal material prevention. All user-generated content is subject to multi-layer moderation including AI-provider safety filters, platform-level content scanning, and human review for flagged content. We operate a zero-tolerance policy for prohibited material.
1. Our Commitment to Safety
OpenArt Studio is committed to providing a safe, ethical, and responsible AI content generation platform. We recognize that AI-powered creative tools carry inherent risks, and we take proactive measures to prevent misuse. Our safety infrastructure is designed to protect users, the public, and the integrity of AI-generated content.
We comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding AI-generated content, including but not limited to the Digital Services Act (EU), the UK Online Safety Act, and U.S. federal and state laws regarding deepfakes, CSAM, and intellectual property.
2. Multi-Layer Content Moderation System
OpenArt Studio employs a multi-layer content moderation approach to prevent the generation, storage, and distribution of harmful or prohibited content:
Layer 1: AI Provider Safety Filters
All content generation requests are processed through third-party AI providers (Google Imagen, Google Gemini, Runware) that have built-in safety classifiers. These models are trained to refuse requests for harmful, explicit, violent, or illegal content at the model level. Prompts that trigger safety classifiers are automatically blocked before any content is generated.
Layer 2: Platform-Level Content Filtering
Before prompts are sent to AI providers, OpenArt Studio applies its own content filtering system that screens for prohibited keywords, patterns, and intent. This includes detection of attempts to generate NSFW content, deepfakes of real individuals, violent or harmful imagery, and content that could be used for fraud, harassment, or illegal purposes. Prompts that match prohibited patterns are blocked and logged for review.
Layer 3: Community Reporting & Human Review
Users can report any content shared on the platform that they believe violates our policies. All reports are reviewed by our moderation team. Content flagged by automated systems or user reports is queued for human review. Content that violates our policies is removed, and repeat offenders face account suspension or permanent termination.
Layer 4: Ongoing Monitoring & Audit
We conduct regular audits of generated content and platform activity to identify emerging risks, filter evasion attempts, and new categories of harmful content. Our moderation systems are continuously updated to address new threats. We maintain logs of all content generation requests and moderation actions for compliance and audit purposes.
3. Prohibited Content — Zero Tolerance
OpenArt Studio maintains a zero-tolerance policy for the following categories of content. Any attempt to generate, upload, store, or distribute the following is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement:
3.1 Absolutely Prohibited (Immediate Termination + Law Enforcement Referral)
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any content depicting or suggesting the sexual exploitation of minors. We report all CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement agencies
- Deepfakes of Real Individuals: Non-consensual intimate imagery or manipulated media designed to deceive, harass, defame, or defraud using the likeness of real people
- Terrorism & Violent Extremism: Content that promotes, recruits for, or glorifies terrorist organizations or violent extremist ideologies
- Content Facilitating Illegal Activity: Material designed to facilitate drug trafficking, human trafficking, weapons manufacturing, money laundering, fraud, or other criminal enterprises
3.2 Strictly Prohibited (Account Termination)
- NSFW / Sexually Explicit Content: Pornographic, sexually explicit, or overtly sexual content of any kind, including AI-generated nudity
- Graphic Violence & Gore: Content depicting extreme violence, mutilation, torture, or other graphic violent imagery
- Hate Speech & Discrimination: Content that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Harassment & Bullying: Content designed to harass, intimidate, threaten, or bully specific individuals
- Disinformation & Fraud: Content designed to deceive, defraud, or manipulate individuals, including fake news, scam materials, phishing content, and fraudulent marketing
- Intellectual Property Infringement: Content that intentionally reproduces copyrighted works, trademarks, or other protected intellectual property without authorization
- Impersonation: Content created to impersonate real individuals, organizations, or government entities for deceptive purposes
4. NSFW & Deepfake Prevention
OpenArt Studio takes specific, proactive measures to prevent NSFW content and deepfakes:
4.1 NSFW Content Prevention
- All AI providers used by OpenArt Studio (Google Imagen, Gemini, Runware) have built-in NSFW classifiers that block explicit content generation at the model level
- Our platform-level filters screen prompts for explicit language, sexual references, and NSFW intent before they reach AI providers
- Generated images are not post-processed or modified to circumvent provider safety filters
- Users cannot upload external images that bypass our content moderation pipeline
4.2 Deepfake Prevention
- Prompts requesting the generation of content depicting real, identifiable individuals are blocked
- Our Character Studio feature generates only fictional characters and does not support uploading or referencing photographs of real people
- AI providers' built-in safeguards prevent the generation of photorealistic likenesses of public figures
- Any content reported as a deepfake is immediately removed pending investigation
